Who We Are

Founded in Calgary in 1965, CFM Air Equipment, operating under Optimal Energy (2002) Inc., has proudly served Western Canada for six decades. In 2025, we celebrate 60 years of delivering trusted air solutions to Calgary and the surrounding region. Over the years, our family-owned company has grown to include offices in Winnipeg (2009) and Regina (2015) — extending our reach across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwestern Ontario.

What We Do

At CFM Air Equipment, we specialize in compressed air and vacuum systems, offering a full range of compressors, pumps, blowers, dryers, piping, replacement parts, and rental equipment. We also provide 24/7 service and maintenance for all makes and models of compressed air equipment.
Our team supports industries including oil and gas, mining, hydro, agriculture, building maintenance, government, fertilizer, and power generation.

I’d give CFM ten stars if I could. As a business owner who works with compressors daily, having it out of commission could have been exceptionally costly. However, one quick call to Mike, the service manager, and my machine was up and running that day, possibly saving me thousands. Thanks, Mike!

For many years we have been using this great company with caring customer service people at CFM Air Equipment to perform many urgent repairs on short notice, whenever our suction equipment was down. Was having a issue with a leak on a small home air compressor, phoned Mike in service, discussed issue, found a leaking aluminum hose, thought it might be end of life of unit,Mike said bring part into him, he will see what he can do. Amazing staff and work, diagnosed my 60 gal iron horse compressor with ease and told me what was wrong with it, they even went out their way and tested my old capacitors as I replaced them thinking that it was the issue but turns out it wasnt. Thanks for the help!

I had issues with my devilbiss and iron horse compressors and didn’t quite remember the last company, I knew it began with a C. however I got a way better company that truely thrives on customer service and was Extremely impressed with how they looked after my needs. CFM is the best company for compressor repair in Calgary.

From the day I purchased my air compressor, the staff at CFM Air Equipment have been professional, friendly and overall exceptional to deal with. Some vendors didn’t even bother to call me back with quotes or technical details. CFM setup a demonstration for me because of some special requirements I had. Ultimately, the entire transaction was easy from start to finish. Since then, they have been able to help me with all the small incidental items I’ve needed (additional fittings, supplies, etc). It doesn’t matter how big or small the item, they have always been willing to help.Gary recently came out to complete the first regular service since the initial startup. He was on time for the appointment and I was extremely impressed at his attention to detail. Gary was very thorough in his checks and service and explained everything I needed to know in detail. He clearly knows his trade well and has a very good approach to customer service. I definitely feel that I received great value for my money.Thanks!

We had an issue with our shop air compressor and after having poor experience with other repair shops we decided to try CFM. Needless to say, it was a good decision. Mike was very understanding that not having functional equipment could be bad for any business and was quick to get a service technician out to access the problem. Tom was very knowledgeable and explained what needed to be done. In short, I was very impressed and will definitely use them in the future.

I bought a big 3-cylinder OMEGA compressor from Roz about 2 years ago. Pricing and delivery arrangements were good. It still works perfect and the customer service and pricing for accessories has been great. Before you go to a big-box store to buy a crappy compressor and zero after-sales support you’d do yourself a favour to talk to the CFM folks.
